Elliott Tree Farm has always been known for its vintage charm, old fashioned Christmas traditions, and picture perfect scenery. This winter, that magic made its way onto the screen once again. We are excited to share that the farm was one of the film locations for Netflix’s new holiday movie A Merry Little Ex-Mas, which officially launched on Netflix on November 12, 2025.
In January 2025, the production team arrived during a real winter snowstorm that blanketed our fields, barns, and trails in a perfect layer of snow. The timing could not have been better. With flakes falling across the property, the farm naturally transformed into a movie ready winter landscape.
Bringing Movie Magic to the Farm
The cast and crew spent several days filming throughout the property, capturing scenes inside our heritage buildings, around the classic barns, and within the evergreen rows that families visit each Christmas. The authentic snowfall meant there was no need for snow machines, creating a true Canadian winter backdrop that fit the story perfectly.
