Elliott Tree Farm Maple Syrup Experience
To Start: The Horse Barn Canteen
- Elliott Tree Farm Ontario Pure Maple Syrup with freshly grilled pancakes and a side of fresh cut Canadian side bacon, maple breakfast sausage and fresh butter, hot apple cider, or coffee, or tea, and juice or bottled water.
To Follow: At the Sugar Shack
Enjoy the 10–15-minute sugarbush trail walk for our Canadian Sugar Shack Experience. There you will see firsthand how maple syrup is made while exploring the sugarbush to check sap buckets, and taste raw sap, partially cooked sap, pure maple sugar and maple taffy over snow. Our Maple Sugar Shack is open from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. At the Heritage Barn we have complimentary toboggans to take along the trail.
To Finish: At the Heritage Barn
When you return from the Sugar Shack Experience you will want to visit our 1850 Heritage Barn which is home to the Maple Syrup Museum of Ontario. Learn and explore the history of our annual Canadian tradition. At the museum you will also taste our award-winning maple syrup grades which are available for purchase along with our signature maple products, freshly baked treats and Elliott Tree Farm apparel.
We have 4 seatings for our pancake breakfast you can choose from during checkout: 9:30am, 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm

- Please remember to dress for spring and muddy conditions with proper footwear and bring what you need to enjoy yourself for the day!
- Dogs are welcome on a leash including our Horse Barn Canteen dining area.

Our 2025 Maple Sugarbush Experience Tour and Tasting is open Saturday and Sunday from April 12 to November 9. Tickets are available for a morning 10:30 am and afternoon 12:30 pm experience.
This off-season 90-minute Maple Experience combines a guided walking tour which take you through our sugarbush trail to our maple forest and maple sugar shack.
Along the way, your expert guide will teach you firsthand about different tree species, how maple syrup was discovered and how it is made. The tour also includes a stop by our firewood shed and our traditional wood fired maple sugar shack before visiting the Gathering of the Giants Maple Trees, a collection of maple tree over 200 years old.
Following our fun and fascinating farm tour, you will be guided through the Maple Syrup Museum of Ontario which features a one-of-a-kind collection of historic maple artifacts that tells the story of maple syrup from indigenous to modern times. Following your tour, you will finish a complete tasting flight of our pure maple sugar, maple toffee over snow, and our different grades of finished pure Ontario maple syrup.
